The Year of the Bomb

It's 1955, and thirteen-year-old Paul spends his days watching one horror movie after another with his best friends Oz, Arnie, and Crank. When the boys read that a brand-new thriller called Invasion of the Body Snatchers will be filmed in their California hometown, they can't wait to check out the set. The boys make friends with two extras in the film and even take part in a scene. When one of their new friends points the boys toward a possible communist spy living in their community, the boys decide to investigate.
