The Gawgon and the Boy

David, the youngest member of a large extended family, is accustomed to being "invisible" to most adults. At age eleven, he catches pneumonia and recovers enough to get out of bed but cannot return to school for many months. He is thrilled with his new freedom until he gets into trouble and sharp-eyed Aunt Annie volunteers to tutor him. To David’s surprise, she becomes a good friend and mentor.
