Joe "Stosh" Stoshack has the ability to travel through time, and he's used his gift to meet legendary baseball players and to try to change history for the better. When he hears the story of Ray Chapman, he knows he must use his talent again: in 1920, before batters wore helmets, Chapman was struck in the head by a wild pitch and died soon afterward. Stosh arrives in the past, but his plan to interrupt Chapman's deadly at-bat comes to ruin when Stosh is handcuffed and detained by a ballpark security guard. Can Stosh escape and save Chapman's life?
Summary Stosh can travel through time to the year of any baseball card he holds. When Flip tells Stosh the story of Ray Chapman, the only Major Leaguer to die from being hit in the head with a pitch, Stosh decides to travel back in time to prevent the beaning.
