Glen Stewart Godwin was a normal guy. A charismatic and dashing young Californian man, he was well on his way to becoming a successful entrepreneur when things took a dark turn. To fund his growing drug addiction, Godwin staged a robbery of his wealthy friend, Kim Robert LeValley. The robbery would soon turn gruesome, however, when Godwin pulled a knife on his friend and began to maniacally stab him. After that, he would enlist some friends to blow up LeValley's corpse, leaving nothing more than charred remains. Godwin was arrested and sent to Folsom State Prison, where his wife and former cellmate would help him stage a breakout and flee to Mexico. In Mexico, Godwin was again imprisoned, but he staged yet another escape. To this day, Godwin has not been found by law enforcement. Infamous Jailbreaks is a captivating series providing an intriguing insight into the world of crime. Filled with fascinating case studies of the most notable jailbreaks in the last 100 years, this set of titles documents the background to each event, the crime itself, the escape, and the consequences.
