Dangling

Eleven-year-old Ben is deeply concerned after his best friend, Ring, disappears one summer afternoon. While waiting for news, Ben tries to piece together what he knows about Ring and realizes that it adds up to very little. He finds a candy wrapper in a secret spot only he and Ring know about and thinks it might be a message. But if Ring is still alive, where is he? And why did he leave?
