Diary of a Spider

Full-color illustrations and diary entries give a brief glimpse into the life of a small arachnid. In school Spider learns the following safety rules to avoid being sucked up by a vacuum cleaner: "Stop what we’re doing. Drop from the web. Run like crazy." For fun he likes to sleep over at Worm’s house, or wrap Fly in silk to scare Fly’s mother. On Spider’s birthday his grandfather tells him the secret to a long and happy life: "Never fall asleep in a shoe."
