After Ever After

Thirteen-year-old Jeff , a leukemia survivor, has a lot on his mind. His reliable older brother, Steven, has had a breakdown, moved to Africa, and gone incommunicado. A statewide test that determines whether kids pass to the next grade is coming up, and Jeff is terrible at math. Finally, and most worrisome of all, Jeff 's best friend, Tad, a wise-cracking fellow cancer survivor, has been missing a lot of school lately.
